Kersio Sicav was founded in 2013 by three brothers passionate about investment who decided to apply all their years of experience in their own project. We started managing our own assets, putting all our efforts in the analysis and stock picking.

As of early 2025, Kersio advises two investment vehicles, Kersio Capital and Kersio Lux, with a total AUM of €135 million. Both the founding team and new partners and professionals at Kersio invest their personal wealth in the vehicles advised by the firm.

Walter Scherk Serrat

Industrial Engineer (Polytechnic University of Barcelona)a and MBA Harvard (Honors 2nd year).

He was a professor at IESE, teaching finance and investment management courses. After serving as CEO of a manufacturing company, he transitioned to financial markets in 1987. He first worked as Deputy General Director of the Barcelona Stock Exchange (now Bolsas y Mercados) and later focused on investment analysis and fund management at Ahorro Corporación (the financial arm of Spain’s savings banks). There, he held the positions of Director of Strategy and General Director of its asset management firm, overseeing funds totaling approximately €10 billion.

He continued his fund management career as a partner at the Swiss asset manager Strategic Investment Advisors, and since early 2013, he has been a founding partner of Kersio.

Vivian Scherk Serrat

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences and MBA from IESE.

She began her professional career as a controller at the publishing house Argos-Vergara. She then took on the role of Financial Director at JG Ingenieros, a Catalan engineering and building consultancy firm, where she remained until 2006.

Since then, she has been dedicated to managing the family’s wealth, both in real estate and financial assets. As part of this activity, she joined Kersio Capital SICAV in 2013 as a partner and portfolio manager.

Alejandro Scherk Serrat

Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and MBA from ESADE. Founding partner of EFPA Spain. For 20 years, he was a regular contributor to the magazine Mi Cartera de Inversión.

He taught finance and stock market courses at ESADE for over five years. With more than 30 years of experience, he has worked in the insurance sector (Winterthur), brokerage firms, asset management companies, and private investment, specializing as an equity analyst and portfolio manager.

He is currently the Chairman of Kersio Lux (SICAV), overseeing €135 million in assets under management.

Alberto Carrasco

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and MBA from ESADE. Previously, he worked for over eight years as a senior analyst at the Swiss firm Strategic Investment Advisors (SIA).

He has developed his professional career in strategic consulting (Cluster Consulting – now Oliver Wyman) and spent more than six years in Private Equity at Inversiones Hemisferio and Riva y Garcia Private Equity.

Rodrigo Martínez García

Graduate in Business Administration and Management and Master’s in Financial Markets from the University of Barcelona.

He has experience in administration and finance departments across the legal, publishing, and distribution sectors. Since 2011, he has been an occasional contributor to media outlets as an economist.

In March 2019, he joined Kersio as Back Office Manager.

Jorge Tarragó

Industrial Technical Engineer, Economist, and PDD from IESE.

After leading the restructuring and sale of the plastics company Dunke SA, he joined FICOSA Internacional, where he remained for 25 years, holding various positions, including Group Operations Director. For four years, he led the sale of his stake in the company to the Japanese industrial group Panasonic.

He is currently a Board Member of Kersio Capital SICAV and manages the family business, dividing his time between the industrial and financial sectors.
